    cool musings
We got a new desktop computer today. It's pretty sweet. Haven't got to use it yet as Rheanna has been setting it up for awhile. Goes along well with the new wireless router we just picked up for the Laptop.

Went to the jays game last night. That was pretty sweet as well. Sat 21 rows off the field behind the Devil Rays bench. I am glad to see that Rhe likes to go to the games and enjoys them. Its just one more thing we can share together.

Goin to the Bills home opener tomorrow. I am stoked for it. Can't wait to watch some real Football.

Just passed our 1 yr anniversary. Pretty sweet.

    Until next time......

    Another great summer weekend past.

Went to Lafontaine for Rhe's family reunion. What a party that was. Used it as a good time to bond with her dad. Sure did quite a bit of drinking and partying. It was pretty good as far as the food goes as well. I feel quite accepted by all members of her family. They are all so open and welcoming and helped me to fit right in. They put me on the spot on Sunday night for some embarassment as my initiation into the family. Funny though as the game they were playing created the perfect moment if I would have had the ring, but I didn't so I guess it will have to wait a little while longer. It will happen for sure it's just a question of when, which only I know and am unwilling to give up the answer lol. I appreciated it though it was fun for what it was. I was sad to leave yesterday as it was nice to get away from the hectic work that I have surrounded myself with.

I decided to take a day to myself today. Maybe do some of the shit round the house I never get to do. I am constantly working and what not so no time for anything at night. So today seems like it will play out to be a day of making curtain rods and putting up curtains and just general cleanup around the house.

Tonight is the last regular season game for my ball hockey team. Looks like only 3 games to go as we will probably get swept in the best of 3 first round in the playoffs. Been kinda a disappointing year for us as we have lost a lot of games. One good thing is we are playing a more sound team game now so maybe next year we will finish better. o well we shall c i guess.

Looks like I am goin to Darien Lake with the buds this labor Day weekend. Should be an awesome time. Hopefully there will be time in the weekend to check out Ribfest as well. Ive also put together another Bills trip for me and the boys. I am looking forward to that as well. With all our busy sched's we hardly get to hang out anymore. Oh well such is life i guess. Anyways I better get back to house shit so until next time.........

Just a quick random thought before bed.....That is isn't it amazing how life can turn the corner and bring you to where you always wanted to be just when u thought all was lost......

Not saying I didnt work for what I have because I know that I certainly did. Rheanna has been the most amazing thing to happen to me and is my rock when I am down and my party partner when I am up. She makes me want to better myself everyday so that we can have all of our hopes and dreams come true. I love her and I can truly say with all honesty that she makes me incredibly happy and I want to spend the rest of my life with her...

    Until next time.............
    10:26 pm
Been quite awhile since I last wrote. Things are awesome for me. Starting to feel like I will end up ok.

Spent the weekend up at a cottage. In fact it was the place where Rheanna and I first spent a weekend together. I was lovin it. Kinda brogught me back to those feelings I had the first time I was there, wonder, excitement etc. The past nine months have been quite a rollercoaster ride for me. Seems like I am steadily climbing up with only a few small bumps in the road. It's amazing how life can take the turn u have always wanted it to take. Somtimes It just takes a scary unknowing leap of faith to make it happen.

Life has been so good to me. Rheanna and I are setting up a life together that is built to last. I think as a team we work extreeamly well together and in the game of life will end up undefeated. We have tried to set up the big and small things and everything we do is a team decision. Our home that we share is like a dream to me. I look forward to comming home everynight and seeing her smiling face and just spending time on the patio on our new patio set. The car we have together is great and awesome to drive.

I am trying to plan to be fiscally responsible for the present and future time. Read a good book that motivated me to be better at this for the both of us.

As far as work goes I am now making more money than I ever have in my life. This means more money for savings and I am now finally able to put away money for retirement. It makes me feel good to know that my life is comming together.

Next weekend we will be heading up camping. I cannot wait. Just the two of us alone for the weekend is goin to be awesome. Not a care in the world except when is dinner and what to do tonight I can't wait. I can't wait to leave all my worries and troubles behind in the city.

Anyways enough of my silly mumble jumble here. I am off to my fav place in the world and that is bed. It is quite the amazing feeling to know that Rhe is the last person and thought I have during the day and the first in the morning. Anyways until next time............

First off, to all my fellow Canadians, Happy Canada Day. We are so blessed to live in the greatest country in the world. Thanks to all who make the ultimate sacrifice for it. Cheers to another year Canada.

Now onto today, Im sittin in our temporary studio recording the songs for my bands new disc. I'm pretty stoked for it. I think we have some pretty solid tracks. We played a show @ the Underground in Hamilton last night and it was by far our best performance yet. I can't wait to play another one. It's goin to sweet. With each passing show we improve in our performances and stage presence. I think we leaqrned a huge lesson from the setbacks and the shitty show we played at the spring music fest. I'm so stoked about our new disc though. I think its goin to be the stepping stone we need to get where we want to go.

So I quit the depot this week. I felt I wasnt able to work two jobs during the summer months. Ive been workin 12 hr days with my framing job so that has kept me goin and tired. We've been all over the map from Fergus to Mississagua so I haven't been home very much. But hey at least the pay is good.

Its time for me to record so until next time.....

Hey, everyone. So I went to the casbah to check out some bands last night and it was an ok show. The first band to go on was Day In The Life. They were awesome. Sort of an alternative style comparable to "Thursday" or a band like that but more melodic and a better sound. They opened with a song called Leave it alone which was just amazing. They were however missing a bass player which detracted from their performance a bit but in talking with the band after their set I realized that they were currently working with a new one he just didnt know all the meterial yet as he just joined a week ago. They played about a 45 min set which musically was amazing. Just blew me away. I kept thinkin to myself it's nice to see someone trying to do something new for a cahnge in the Hamilton music scene. All of the shows I have gone to lately have all been a real heavy screamo style which is starting to get old and tired. Their final song was a song called Home which was musically and lyrically sound. I thought they played really together as a band I just thought at times they were lyrically lacking. However my overall opinion was that they are one of the best undiscovered bands in the city. I think all should check them out. I wrote down their myspace addy and it is www.myspace.com/dayinthelifeonline

The next band that went on was a band called Marr. They kinda reminded me of a cross between Primus, SOAD and Metallica. I thought as a band they were awesome musically but the vocals sucked. I thought with the music itself they threw some wicked transitions and hooks into the songs (eg. Landscape, & the Longer), but as far as vocals go I couldnt figure out what the singer was trying to do. I kept thinking to myself if this band could only go out and find a singer who just wanted to sing then they would be great. I found that when he did attempt to sing, instead of trying to act and be hardcore screamo (indie Dirt Nap, whic I thought they could have went without playing and I wouldnt have cared), it brought a whole new element to the band which was fabulous, however these times were very few and far between. This element was exposed to me when they played a song called "A Full Day" which I thought was their best song. I found the audience to be on the same page as me when talking to a few people. I would recommend checking out this band just because musically they are tight and they do alot within each song. I would just recommend that if you do go to check them, don't go in expecting something epical vocally. As much as I am trashing this band, and I don't mean to, I will say that they do get you pumped up during their set and they interact with the audience well, which only adds to their show. You can check them out at www.myspace.com/marr

The last band to go on was "The Struggle Fish" which was a two man acoustic set. My first thought was its hard to follow up a heavy band with an acoustic set but I soon realized how wrong I was. It was a nice relaxing way to end the night. I talked with the band before the show and realized that they do have a drummer most times just not tonight. They are a rock alternative garage style band. Kind of reminded me of the doors in a way (celebrating June). musically and lyrically they were awesome as well but I thought I would like to see these guys as a full band. In talkin with them they gave me their myspace so that I could get that experience when I got home. It is great by the way. can't wait to see them as a full band. The style again reminds me of the doors, neil young kind of style. almost 70s rock which is always awesome if done correctly. I would definately recommend checking these guys out at any venue you see their name attached to. If this review peaked your interest at all check out their myspace at www.myspace.com/thestrugglefish All the songs on this site are awesome and I cant stop listening to it. I feel that these guys are one of tthe best bands in this area. check them out.

Overall a great night was had and I cant wait until the next show I go to.

hey everyone check this out. I think this is the greatest thing ive read in awhile. It's so good to be Canadian so we dont have to deal with this kinda shit on such a huge scale. What does it matter if two guys or girls get hitched. As a straight male how does that in any way affect my life. I mean I got to choose who i got to be with so why can't everyone have that choice. I think the religious teachings and references on this subject matter are bullshit. I mean if we look at Jesus' life all he did was hang out the the derilicts and people who didnt fit in in society. Homosexuals, prostitutes, drug dealers, criminals etc. All he wanted was for people to treat others as equals and respect their decisions in life. But people use religion to justify their predjudice and thats just wrong. I don't understand why people are so scared of shit that does not affect their life. Anyways, it makes me sick. Anyways enough rants here's the post:

Dr. Laura Schlessinger is a radio personality who dispenses advice to people who call in to her radio show. Recently, she said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22 and cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The
following is an open letter to Dr. Laura penned by a east coast resident, which was posted on the Internet. It's funny, as well as informative:

    Dear Dr. Laura:

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that
Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them:

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all
the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? - Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

    Your devoted fan,
    Jim

Well I am home again today. I tore a muscle in my back and can't work. Today I felt that I could work but in fact my boss told me not to. I went to the physiotheripist this morning and they advised me not to go back to work til at least monday. They say that if I had a desk job I'd already be back, but since I work such a physical job, my back needs some time to strenghen itself so it can take the punishment i dish out on it on a daily basis.

I am so bored at home. I try to come up with new thingss to do here to pass the day but ive watched all my movies and played all my video games. I am so bored. Oh well I guess I have to combat another day of bordem. I never realized how much work fills the day and how good it feels to get up every morning and have a purpose such as work and fill my day with it. Man I wish I was workin. O well maybe I'll find something to do today.

    Until next time.........

Leila's brother let me borrow a book by Maddox (George Ouzounian) called the alphabet of manliness. It is honestly one of the funniest things I have ever read. Here is an excerpt from it:

"Anyone who says "ciao" instead of "bye" or even "later" to end a phone call is an asshole. The only exception is if you're Italian, but even then cool it. Since the subject has been brought up, add "aloha" to that list. I've never met anyone from Hawaii, and I'm not even sure the place exists. Cut the crap, just say "bye" and "hello" like everyone else and save your hep-cat slang for Hollywood.
People who say "ciao" are the same type of people who have those stupid flip phones where the mouth and earpiece pivot on two separate parts. The reason these phones are stupid is because the people who use them go out of their way to make a loud snapping noise as they shut their phone with one hand at the end of every call. It's not the noise that makes men irate so much as the way these people look around the room after every call to see if anyone noticed how cool that one-hand phone snapping bullshit was. Nobody cares, go to hell."

I think its hilarious. I found his website and I think everyone should check it out. Below is the link:

Otherwise it was just an amazing weekend, and I hope that I can do it again sometime. below is a link to all the pics so check em out.

Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.

Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

    7 more days til my b-day. I cant wait. I'll be 25.

I think what have i accomplished in 25 years, and though i wont get into details with you all, as i don't like to get too personal on the net for all to see, I feel I have done a lot and am quite satisfied with my life and the way it has turned out. Came from a shitty home as a child and drug problems as a teen. To turn out a man with a great job a place of his own and someone who has found true love with the most beautiful woman in the world. I am excited to see what the next 25 years will bring.

I have the flu and am off sick. Fuckin flu....keeps me up all night puking, I cant wait til it passes.

Only two more days til Leila comes home. Easter weekend will be a blast, and maybe the easter bunny will have a special surprise for her. hahahahahahaha. Anyways dont really have too much to say. I am looking forward to playing a round of golf with the boys on friday, other than that i am sure that the easter dinners ahead of me this weekend will be great and so will spending time with leila be as well. Anyways until next time..............

    Current Mood: sick
